Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the VisionGuard camera-monitoring service provided by VisionGuard (Helsinki, Finland). By requesting access to or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

VisionGuard connects to cameras you already own and relays them to you over an encrypted channel, with motion and object detection and alerts. The service is provided on a private, request-based basis; there is no open self-service registration.

2. Access and accounts

• Access is granted on request and provisioned manually. We may decline or revoke access at our discretion.
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
• Accounts are personal. You may not share, resell, or redistribute your access or configuration to third parties.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

• break any applicable law or infringe the rights of others;
• monitor people without a lawful basis or required consent;
• attempt to disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorised access to the service or its infrastructure.

4. Your content

You retain all rights to your camera streams and recordings. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of cameras and any recording of individuals complies with applicable law, including obtaining any notices or consents required in your jurisdiction.

5. Availability

We aim to keep the service available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, updates, or factors outside our control may cause temporary interruptions.

6. Disclaimer

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will meet every requirement or prevent every incident.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VisionGuard shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are breached or if required to protect the service or other users. You may stop using the service at any time.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Helsinki, Finland, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
